How to Search Colfax County Court Records

Types of Colfax County Court Records

The New Mexico Courts IPRA form is the online request channel when a court record must be requested from the judiciary rather than found in public search.
The IPRA form requires users to choose the court location and then the specific court or department believed responsible, which is why Colfax users should identify District Court, Raton Magistrate, or Springer Magistrate before filing the request.
Public Access Framework for Colfax County Court Records

When online search is incomplete, use the court that filed the case. District Court and Magistrate Court case files are court records kept by the filing court. The New Mexico Courts IPRA form states that AOC is not the custodian of civil and criminal case files maintained by courts. Bring a case number if possible, or enough party, date, and court-location information to help staff identify the record. For certified copies, older records, document inspection, or corrections to displayed information, contact the court where the case was heard.
